Terms of Service
1. What this is
DiscographyVault ("the Service") is a self-serve website builder for musicians/producers to publish their discography — releases, audio, artwork, and optional custom pages — on their own subdomain (yourname.discographyvault.com). The Service is operated by DiscographyVault ("we", "us").
2. Accounts
- You must provide a valid email address and confirm it to create an account.
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
- One subdomain per account at signup; the subdomain is yours for as long as your subscription (or its 90-day post-cancellation retention window, see §6) remains active.
3. Subscription & billing
- Price: $12/month, billed monthly, until/unless tiered pricing is introduced.
- Free trial: 14 days, no payment method charged until it ends.
- Billing is handled by Stripe. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel.
- Cancellation: manage or cancel your subscription any time via the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period — you keep access through the time you already paid for.
- Failed payments: we'll retry automatically. Your site stays live during retries. If all retries fail, your subscription is canceled and §6 applies.
- Refunds: full refund within 7 days of your first charge; no refunds after that. Requesting a refund ends your access immediately (your site goes offline right away, rather than continuing through the end of that billing period) and cancels your subscription outright — a refund is treated as though the subscription never happened.
- Bulk Catalog Search (a separate, one-time purchase, not the subscription above) is non-refundable once payment is made — there is no 7-day guarantee for this service.
4. Your content
- You own everything you upload (music, artwork, text, photos). We claim no ownership over it.
- By uploading content, you grant us the limited right to host, store, and display it as necessary to run the Service.
- You're responsible for having the rights to everything you upload.
- Ticket links: DiscographyVault doesn't sell tickets. Ticket links on your site take fans to the seller you chose, and the sale, pricing, refunds and delivery are between the buyer and that seller. You're responsible for keeping your ticket links accurate.
5. Acceptable use
- The Service is for publishing your own music/discography content — not for use as general file storage/hosting unrelated to that purpose.
- Don't upload illegal content, content that infringes someone else's rights, harasses others, or otherwise violates applicable law.
- Copyright/DMCA notices: use our Contact form — no email address is published on this page. We'll disable the specific flagged release or file, not your whole account, unless the violation is broader. A registered DMCA designated agent is on file with the U.S. Copyright Office (Registration Number DMCA-1080196).
- We may suspend or terminate an account for violating this section.
6. Cancellation, data retention & reactivation
- When your subscription ends, your site goes offline at the end of your paid period.
- Your account data is retained for 90 days after that. Resubscribing within that window restores your site exactly as it was.
- After 90 days, your data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
- You can request export or deletion of your data at any time before that window ends.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep the Service reliably available but don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service is provided "as-is" and "as-available," without a formal uptime commitment or SLA.
8. Your data / privacy
See our Privacy Policy for what data is collected and how it's used.
9. Termination by us
We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these terms (§5), for non-payment (§3/§6), or if legally required to do so.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll give at least 30 days' notice by email before material changes take effect.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
12. Contact
